Movie Poster Examples

I have decided to look at some of these existing movie posters as to give me some inspiration on what it is i want my poster to resemble. The posters i am using for inspiration are from some of our favorite romantic films.
The poster above is for the film P.S. I Love You, this is one of my personal favorite romantic movie. The purpose of the poster is to advertise the film, but it is also used to show actors, directors and other important people that had a role to play in the creation of the film. The colour pallet of the poster is very bright, it doesn't us much dark tones and it uses soft lighting to complement the colours. The key image in the poster is the lard photograph of Gerard Butler embracing Hillary Swank. The tagline "Sometimes There's Only One Thing Left To Say" helps us understand the genre a bit better.
The poster tells us that it is a film adaptation of a book, it uses the words best selling novel, is is to get people that was interested in the book to be interested in the film and
This Film poster doesn't have an opening date, which is very unusual for film posters

This poster is really simple but it is able to express the genre of the film with ease, The text of the film is centered making it easy for your eye to move through the poster

The poster above is for a modern romantic film that is not out yest. the film will be released in June 6th.
The photograph used in the poster is a simple but affective
unlike most movies posters this one doesn't have a credit block.
